2. Importing Royalty Statements
Which royalty sources does SongBank support?
SongBank supports major royalty providers including ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, SoundExchange, Music Reports, MLC, Peermusic, BMG, Amplified, DistroKid, OneRPM, TuneCore, and more.
What formats can I import?
SongBank accepts CSV, TSV, and XLSX files from royalty statements.
Can I import statements in bulk?
Not currently. Each statement must be imported individually so you can confirm the source and assign the correct statement date. This ensures your catalog data accurately matches your royalty statements.
How does SongBank match imported songs?
SongBank uses title cleaning, normalization rules, and optional Spotify artwork matching to help unify song entries across different royalty sources.
Why does SongBank ask me to enter the song title exactly as shown in the app?
For Spotify artwork matching, SongBank uses clean title formatting. Exact matches ensure automatic pairing with album artwork.
What happens if I accidentally import a duplicate statement?
SongBank automatically detects duplicates and prevents double-imports.
3. Catalog Valuation
How does SongBank calculate my catalog valuation?
SongBank computes historical monthly earnings, 1–5 year averages, and applies user-selectable multiples commonly used in catalog sales.

Yes. SongBank analyzes total earnings, per-song earnings, and source contributions across any timeframe.

Is my data stored locally or in the cloud?
Both. SongBank uses ObjectBox local storage plus ObjectBox Sync to keep your data up to date across devices.
Does SongBank work offline?
Yes. You can access your full catalog offline. Any changes are synced once you're online.
Is my data encrypted?
Yes. All synced data uses end-to-end encrypted WebSocket connections (WSS). Local data is stored securely on-device.
